Benja means five and Pakee means Associates. In Buddhism, the word Benjapakee refers the first five associates of Buddha who received his first sermons of Dharma after his enlightenment.

In paying homage to the first five associates of Gotama Buddha, in Thailand the master of Buddha amulets, “Tri Yumpawai” classified five most famous and well worshipped Amulets  as the “Grand Five”(Benjapakee) Buddha amulets in Thailand.

The Benjapakee Amulets are:

  • Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang blessed by LP Toh Phromarangsri  (King of Amulets)
  • 2. Phra Nang Phya Phitsanulok ( Queen of Amulets )
  • Phra Rod Mahawan Lumpoon
  • Phra Phong Suparn Suparnburi
  • Phra Kampangpeth Soomgor
  • Please read the Articles, “Benjapakee The set of 5 Grand Amulets in Thailand”, “Phra Somdej WatRakhang Kositararm”, “Phra Nangphya Pitsanulok Amulet”, “Phra Rod of Hariphunchai (Lumpoon – Northern Thailand)”, “Phra Phongsuparn of Suparnburi”, “Phra Soomgor Amulet Kamphaeng phet” in my blog post for Amulets to find out the details of each Amulet.

Note: This set is the reproduction of the Benjapakee set of Amulets, intended for general Amulet collectors’ reference. The Benjapakee set of genuine original Amulets costs around Baht 10 million (US$333,000.00) in high end Thai Amulet market.
