Value of an item that belonged to Douglas Fairbanks?
Hello. I have a 10 carat gold cigarette case belonged to Douglas Fairbanks. You probably know that he is basically one of the first stars of the Hollywood giant, with in silent films such as Robin Hood, The Mark of Zorro, and dozens of others. His wife, Lady Sylvia Ashley, gave the cigarette case to my uncle. It is made of pure gold and has a magnificent diamond brooch on the front. This was one of his belongings, which he uses daily. It is engraved "Mola Sylvia (my only love always). How much is it worth it? Thanks:)
You're not really an answer worth anything here. If you documents which prove that In part Fairbanks, you should take it and the case to an Antiques / Collectibles appraiser and have it looked. You could also try to photograph the item (and all Supporting documents) and submitting the photos to judge how www.whatsitworthtoyou.com online. It is usually a fee involved.
